Aci-junt lo comunicat de premsa, en anglés, d’ELEN en seguida de l’adopcion deu rapòrt presentat au Parlament europèu aqueste dimèrcs. Qu’es la consequéncia de mei de quate annadas de tribalh entà l’ensemble de las associacions membres d’ELEN e que van, regularament, portar demandas de sostien e har accions de "lobbying" de cap aus euro-deputats. L’IEO que participè atau, en mei de la soa contribucion au tribalh d’ELEN com membre, aus dus acamps organizats en 2012 a Estrasborg per la comission "lengas minorizadas": lo purmèr a l’iniciativa de Francés Alfonsi en seguida de la manifestacion de Tolosa per demandar au president Hollande de ratificar la carta euopèa (promessa 56 deu candidat), la dusau a l’inciativa de Catarina Greize per ua sensibilizacion globau a la question occitana.

Please find attached an ELEN press release for distribution on the success of the Endangered Languages Report which was passed with an overwhelming majority in the European Parliament today.
The Report was initiated and drafted back in 2009 by Eurolang with input from EBLUL, but it has taken 4 years to get the parliamentary time to be debated. Mr Alfonsi and his team, however, persisted and I continued to lobby for it with the other political groups. This resulted in it being supported unanimously in the Culture Committee, after various amendments, which led to the huge majority in today’s vote.
This massive majority from the EP gives the Report a strong mandate for it to be implemented by the Commission. I propose that ELEN now requests further meetings with Commissioner Vassiliou, her Cabinet, and DG EAC in order to discuss how the Report can be implemented. Mr Alfonsi said that he is also arranging meetings with the Commissioner. The EP support will also strengthen our Pilot project proposal which is currently before the Budget Committee.
